How to repair lost favorite icons?
With time, these little icons, representing the site’s logo, in your favorites (or bookmarks) disappear and you are left only with the generic explorer logo next to all of your favorites. Why they disappear? Well, that’s one of life’s biggest mysteries. FavOrg by PcMagazine (381kb) solves exactly this problem. It recall these icons from the sites and attach them back to your favorites. The whole process takes 2 minutes.

Stop unwanted programs from running on start-up
If you want more control on what’s running on your computer, try HijackThis! (not assosicated with diggthis!). This is a very simple program that lets you view any application or process that’s running. No installation is needed, just run it and mark any line you don’t want to load and press on Delete. Be careful on what you delete though and always keep a backup.
Enhance searching capabilities in Internet Explorer
Inline Search is a great plugin for Internet Explorer that really helps you, without even noticing it’s there. You install it once and then forgets it’s there, until you press the ctrl+f key; then, the plugin is opened (at the bottom of the explorer window) and allows you to easily search, highlight and find the previous and next keyword.
