Thumbs.db is a hidden system file generated by Windows XP when you view the contents of a folder in Thumbnail or Filmstrip view. Although it’s here to help the users access the previewed files easily, it’s still a very annoying file.
If you’ll follow the next steps, you can delete the file and it won’t come back:
Start -> Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View (tab) -> Under “File and Folders” mark the option “Do no cache thumbnails”.

We all tried the numerous online to-do lists, and everyone already have their favorites, but here’s another method for keeping your personal to-do lists.
Just create a folder named “To-Do” (or whatever) on your desktop and add notepad text files to it with the relevant tasks. You can also create scheduled reminders for specific files, or just make a mental note to keep coming back to check the folder. The text files can include more information, due dates, phone numbers and so on.
Yes, it’s not as advanced as some online offers, but it saves a lot of reloading time, creating your lists, categories and widgets. Just a simple *.txt file that does all the work. After trying many many online to-do lists, this method is simly the best we can recommend.
