Scene of 7 minutes from Wanted (Angelina Jolie’s new film)

Wanted is probably going to be a hell of a movie, full of action and thrills, but mostly filled with Angelina Jolie… If her 170 pictures weren’t enough for you, now you can watch this 7 minutes of scene straight from the movie Wanted.

The film’s entire plot structure is maybe a little too similar to The Matrix - some guy finds out he’s one-in-a-million with super crazy powers and he must join a group of people who will train him to use these powers against evil. Angelina-Trinity saves his life and takes him to Morpheus-Freeman who explains their secret world to him and through brutal training he teaches him to dodge bullets, or in this case make bullets dodge other things.

Easily change the shortcuts in PlacesBar

This is something I always wanted to do and now it’s really dead simple to accomplish. If you ever wanted to change the default shortcuts in the open/save dialogues of Windows (2000/ME/XP/Vista) and Office (2000/XP/2003/2007), but never knew exactly how to do it, this software is for you.

PlacesBar Editor is a software program that fills exactly this need that Microsoft left behind. This utility allows you to change them to be any folder you want.

How to open ISO, CUE, CCD and NRG files without burning a CD or a DVD?

This is a very old tip, but a very good one that not enough people knows about - when you don’t want to waste a blank CD or a DVD just to check if what you’ve downloaded works, or if you just want to test your disk image before burning it, Daemon Tools lets you create up to four virtual CD/DVD drives and assign the right file for the drive. The process is called mounting images and it’s really easy to do it.

It’s a known fact that we all want to share our life in every way possible and the web finally let’s us do it. Although everyone is familiar with flickr, there are many other ways to share your stuff with your friends and with the world and we gathered up a few of them in this list. The list is not sorted in any particular way.1. Allyoucanupload (by webshots) is a new site that allows users to add their own images and to show them everywhere they’d like. ImageShack is basically the same, but with a toolbar that helps you do everything quicker.

2. With photobucket you can share your videos as well as pictures.

How to delete the Thumbs.db file for good?

Thumbs.db is a hidden system file generated by Windows XP when you view the contents of a folder in Thumbnail or Filmstrip view. Although it’s here to help the users access the previewed files easily, it’s still a very annoying file.

If you’ll follow the next steps, you can delete the file and it won’t come back:

Start -> Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View (tab) -> Under “File and Folders” mark the option “Do no cache thumbnails”.

Useless and semi helpful information sites

There is no quiestion about the fact that the Internet is extremely useful and it holds so much valuable information that one can never go through it all. But the Internet is good for many other things, like fun and spending your time doing nothing important. Doing nothing on the Internet is my favorite activity in my leisure, so I gathered up this list of a few of my favorite useless sites. You don’t need to know the following sites, but if you have nothing better to do and you’re pretty bored, they can be very time consuming and always very interesting.

1. Last Words is a site dedicated to the last words people said, just before leaving this world. You can find many saying from famous people, fictional characters, famous epitaphs and famous farewells. If you always wanted to know what Thomas Jefferson said just before he left, this is the place for you.

Manage yourself and keep track of everything

We always forget. If it’s what we had for lunch, when is our best friend’s birthday or what were we planning on doing the next second. The fact that we are consuming more and more time on the Internet and not in front of the television, gives us more control on what we want to consume, what we want to read and what we want to view, but because there are so many things to read, see or hear on the Internet, we sometimes just forget what we had in mind. There are many organizers on the Web, some are free, some cost money, some are good and some are bad. The following list will give you a few of the simpliest ways to get organized online - being tidy is cool.

Movies and TV Information Fix

If there’s one thing that can compete for our love to the Internet, it’s probably the little screen and what’s on it. The big screen on the other hand, is a trend long due. It’s time for the movie theaters owners to wake up and reinvent themselves. If they should learn anything from the online development is that they need to focus - maybe going back to the Nickelodeon module will be good for business - niche small movie theaters that target specific genres or countries for example. Picture it - a 25 seats theater equipped with the latest in technology showing only Iranian films. Well, maybe not Iranian, but you get the picture.

We’re not saying that the films aren’t interesting anymore (but we won’t blame those who do say it) just that the media should advance and join the revolution. Or evolution. The current media leaders will have to start realizing that content should be first and foremost - free. When it’s free they can start billing for all the extras it comes with, or just give us more commercials, we’re used to it. Maybe we even like it.

This post discusses the most important plugins every blog should have and because we Installed WordPress on part one, we will continue with WordPress must have plugins. These plugins are essential for every blogger, some of them should be installed even before your first post.

All the plugins are easily installed, just follow the instructions on the plugin page and you shouldn’t have any problems what so ever. If there’s a plugin that needs more than 20 minutes of your day, it isn’t listed here, no matter what it does or how it does it.

Blogging is really simple. You can have your own blog up and running in a matter of minutes. You don’t need any real knowledge in html, php, java or other related programmers words. There are many ways to start your own blog or create your own site. If you’ll search the Internet a bit, you’ll find various free and great tools that will help you create your site. All you need to do, is follow these simple guidelines and you’ll have your own unique blog in a matter of minutes.

1. Choose a hosting service and get a domain name - because you don’t know almost anything about servers, domains, ftp and sql, you’d want to purchase a server that has an auto-installation of all kinds of features that will help you build your site in the easiest way possible. BlueHost is the service I selected, but there are many others that support auto-installation (this post uses BlueHost for explanations).

An open letter to all iPhone customers from Steve Jobs

I have received hundreds of emails from iPhone customers who are upset about Apple dropping the price of iPhone by $200 two months after it went on sale. After reading every one of these emails, I have some observations and conclusions.

First, I am sure that we are making the correct decision to lower the price of the 8GB iPhone from $599 to $399, and that now is the right time to do it. iPhone is a breakthrough product, and we have the chance to ‘go for it’ this holiday season. iPhone is so far ahead of the competition, and now it will be affordable by even more customers. It benefits both Apple and every iPhone user to get as many new customers as possible in the iPhone ‘tent’. We strongly believe the $399 price will help us do just that this holiday season.

Second, being in technology for 30+ years I can attest to the fact that the technology road is bumpy. There is always change and improvement, and there is always someone who bought a product before a particular cutoff date and misses the new price or the new operating system or the new whatever. This is life in the technology lane. If you always wait for the next price cut or to buy the new improved model, you’ll never buy any technology product because there is always something better and less expensive on the horizon. The good news is that if you buy products from companies that support them well, like Apple tries to do, you will receive years of useful and satisfying service from them even as newer models are introduced.

If you have a StumbleUpon or digg account (and of course you do, everyone has one), and you’re looking for a way to make some extra bucks while surfing the web, why not check out Subvert and Profit service, which may questionable, but it sure does pay.

All you have to do is sign up to the site, and every once in a while, you’ll get an e-mail saying they have a task for you. You then go to the site, digg or stumble the pages they sent you to and your are paid $0.5 for every task done. Now, it may not sound a lot, but if you only have a few accounts and a few spare minutes every day, this could be some nice pocket money at the end of the day.

Black is the new black

This summer we are fully into black mode. Right now, the color black, or “Kuro” in Japanese, is surprisingly enjoying widespread popularity in Japan. A trend so strong that we could even find an oh-so-hip black toilet paper. Everything from household goods, grooming products, and even foods which are normally associated with the color white are turning up in all-black versions.

How to mask your IP and use country restricted websites

If you want to watch ABC streaming TV episodes even if you don’t live in the US or see the Football Worldcup in the BBC Sport site, even if you don’t live in the UK - the next few steps will help you mask your IP by changing your default proxy to the correct country.

We always knew it was possible, but not that it’s this simple! This can probably help people who want to use different softwares and services online that are usually restricted to the locals and not only for just viewing the above online TV. This little IP and proxy tweak also makes your surfing much more secure and anonymous.

Da Vinci’s Last Supper - a new conspiracy theory

New claims that Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper contains a hidden image of a woman holding a child are provoking a storm of interest. The figure allegedly appears when the 15th Century mural painting is superimposed with its mirror image, and both are made partially transparent.

Mr Pesci, an Italian amateur scholar, discovered the finding and claims that the superimposed image shows a goblet in front of Jesus Christ - perhaps a depiction of his blessing of bread and wine - and transforms two of the people sitting at the table into knights.

Baz Lurhman wrote a song for the class of 97, telling them all they should wear sunscreen, and giving them other useful tips for the future. I came across a similar list of tips for high-schoolers, written by Charles Sykes, where he explains what is the real world like, and what kids should be prepared for, as well as stumbled over another list by Dave Barry.

I love these tips, so I decided I should aggregate them all in one place and also searched for a few more tips and hacks from people who already passed a few things in their life, and gathered what you should learn from them. Have fun:
