Listen to Pandora from outside the USA

I’ve been searching the web for a long time on ways to listen to Pandora from outside the US, as I really don’t live there. I’ve downloaded many programs (including the very complicated TOR) and tried various different proxy services, but nothing really worked well. Either it was just TOO damn slow, or sometimes blocked by Pandora, or cost a lot of money (VPN services) and didn’t give the results I was looking for. All I really wanted was a simple way to listen to Pandora from outside the USA and to enjoy the best music service out there.

Well, now I have the true answer for my needs. In order to listen to Pandora from outside the US (and also watch various other online TV channels), just follow these steps. I promise you it’s the easiest and best way to do it!

1. Download this tiny little program, called UltraSurf.
2. Unzip the files to a directory you’ve created (no installation is required, hooray!).
3. Start the program - UltraSurf.exe.
4. Open Internet Explorer (I regret to say it doesn’t work with Firefox).
5. Go to Pandora’s website.
6. Start listening!

If you did everything correctly, you should now be able to enjoy the best music player around without the need to move and live in the USA…

Here are some advanced usage for UltraSurf:
1. When things are too slow for you, just change the server the program is connected to (click the box near the numbers (usually %98.5-%98.7).
2. If you don’t like using IE, just download Pandora Desktop, which is an AIR application that also works with UltraSurf with no problems.

VPNs arent expensive. I only pay 5$/month for unlimited access to USA & UK servers at http://www.hidemynet.com . It’s a small price to pay for good service.

I use them for watching bbc iPlayer and listening to pandora.

Ultrasurf was perfectly working with Pandora, but lately i’ve been receiving this message “it is taking longer than expected to find out the perfect music to play…” in every computer i use. is there a problem with Pandora or is it from ultrasurf? Had it happened with you??
