finetunePandora is still a great application for anyone who can use it, but lately it’s been shut down for users outside the US and people looking for alternatives, should try out FineTune. As in Pandora, you can just enter an artist name and start listening to a radio station with related music. You can also download a beatufily made desktop program to listen to the music and create your own playlists and radio channels, as well as share that information with friends and find people with similar taste to yours (and find out what they’re listening to!).

The system works great and the music you’re getting, is usually what you’re looking to hear. The buffering and availability are also high and the sound quality is good as well.
